Do you have a Droid 2 and want to root it? Check out this tutorial!


1. This method should work on any variation of the Droid 2 (Droid 2 global and r2d2 version).
2. This method is for Windows Operating System’s only.
3. Disable and Window’s anti virus software until you are done.
4. Download the root files for the Droid 2 here.
Installing The Motorola Driver 
1. Download the correct driver package for your Windows system.
ADB (Choose the Universal Motorola Drivers in Section II)
2. Open up the application package and install.

Running The Root
1. Extract the root file ,zip file to your desktop.
2. Plug your phone is via the USB cable.
3. Select PC Mode.
4. Select the menu button.
5. Select settings.
6. Scroll down and select applications.
7. Select development.
8. Check usb debugging (make sure it’s checked).
9. Open up the extracted root folder.
10. Double click on do root and follow the on screen instructions (the whole process may run for upwards of 10 minutes).
11. If you get any errors uninstall and the re install the Motorola drivers and reboot both your PC and device.
12. Re enable your Windows anti virus program.
