Step 2. Using Volume keys, choose “AP Fastboot”.

Step 3. Once in AP Fastboot mode, connect a micro-USB cable from your Droid Razr to your computer.

Step 4. Make sure you have drivers installed by checking Device Manager, you should see something with “ADB Interface”.  If you don’t, install the drivers included in DroidRazrUtility folder.

For Windows, simply double-click on WindowsUtility.bat to run DroidRazrUtility.

Step 6. If coming from a Motorola-based ROM (not AOSP ROM like CM10, AOKP, etc…) or stock ROM, choose number 2 as it will not wipe your data, settings, etc…  Also do make a backup ROM and backup your apps beforehand.
If something goes wrong later (such as boot loop), you can re-run this program and choose number 1, which will wipe your data (not your internal storage though).

Step 7. Upgrade process to Jelly Bean should take 10-15 minutes.  When it’s done your phone will reboot twice.  And you should be on the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.  Congrats!
