How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y, Android Rom Updates

Prerequisite

Charge your phone’s battery at least 70% before rooting.
Enable USB Debugging from Settings > Applications > Development > Check USB Debugging box.
Close all background processes and applications.

Connect your phone to PC and copy the Multi-Root-Installer_Final.zip to your SD card.
Disconnect it from PC and power off it.
Now Press and Hold Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button Together until it boots into recovery.
Select wipe data factory reset and wipe cache partition. (Use volume buttons to navigate and home button to select)
Now select install zip from sd card and choose zip from sd card.
Navigate to Multi-Root-Installer_Final.zip file and select it.
Once the the file flashing is completed chose +++go back+++ and reboot system now.
Your Galaxy Y is successfully rooted now.
